Replacing the Whirlpool W10380173 PAD-INSER (Dryer Lint Filter):
Step 1: Safety First! Disconnect the power to your dryer. If your model runs on gas, turn off the gas supply as well.
Step 2: Open the dryer’s access panel and locate the lint filter.
Step 3: Carefully remove the filter.
Step 4: Remove any lint and debris from the housing with a vacuum cleaner or soft cloth.
Step 5: Inspect the housing for signs of wear or damage and replace if necessary.
Step 6: Install the new Whirlpool W10380173 PAD-INSER lint filter into the housing. Make sure it is seated correctly and the airflow holes are not blocked.
Step 7: Reassemble the dryer’s access panel.
Step 8: Reconnect the power to your dryer. For gas models, reconnect the gas supply as well.
