Replacing the Whirlpool 8547174V PULLEY-IDR

Step 1: Unplug the dryer’s power cord from the outlet.

Step 2: Remove the four screws on the top of the dryer that hold the top panel to the body of the dryer. Lift the top panel off and set it aside.

Step 3: You will find two screws at the back of the dryer that holds the front panel onto the dryer. Remove these screws.

Step 4: Slide the front panel of the dryer off and set it aside.

Step 5: The belt and pulley that were behind the front panel is how the drum of the dryer turned. Remove the belt from around the drum and the pulley wheel.

Step 6: Place the belt aside and remove the four screws that hold the old pulley wheel in place.

Step 7: Install the new Whirlpool 8547174V PULLEY-IDR in place of the old one.

Step 8: Re-attach the belt onto the drum and the pulley wheel.

Step 9: Re-install the front panel of the dryer. Secure it in place with the two screws.

Step 10: Re-attach the top panel of the dryer and secure it with the four screws.

Step 11: Plug the power cord back into the outlet and you are now finished!
