How to Replace a Whirlpool 74003944 Knob Igniter
1. Start off by unplugging the appliance, and turning off any power source that is connected to it.
2. Open up the door, and remove the screws from the back panel. Pull it off to expose the appliance’s interior and locate the knob igniter.
3. Remove the wires from the old igniter and set them aside.
4. Take the new knob igniter, and attach the corresponding wires one at a time. Make sure the connections are secured.
5. Place the knob igniter into its designated spot, then replace the screws from the back panel.
6. Close the door, plug the appliance back in, and turn on the power source.
7. Test the knob igniter by pressing it and seeing if the appliance turns on. If it does not, follow the steps again to make sure all connections are secure.
