1. Unplug the dryer from its power source. Pull the dryer away from the wall if necessary to access the back panel.
2. Remove the screws on the back panel of the dryer with a Phillips-head screwdriver. Set the screws aside in a safe place.
3. Pull off the back panel to gain access to the lint filter. The filter should be located near the blower fan, which is at the bottom of the machine.
4. Disconnect the metal clips that attach the lint filter to the blower fan housing. Unhook any metal springs that may be attached to the filter as well.
5. Place the old lint filter aside and grab the new 5304511512 Frigidaire Dryer Lint Filter.
6. Attach the metal clips and/or springs to the new filter, then fit the filter into the blower fan housing. Make sure that it is properly secured.
7. Put the back panel back on and secure it with the screws.
8. Plug the dryer back into the power source and test the filter to make sure it is working correctly.
