1. Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet and turn off the water supply to the ice maker.
2. Locate the thermostat on the inside ceiling of the refrigerator. It is a round, black disc set into the ceiling with two wires connected to it.
3. Disconnect the two wires that are connected to the thermostat, using needle nose pliers.
4. Remove the screws that hold the thermostat in place, using a Phillips head screwdriver.
5. Remove the old thermostat from the ceiling of the refrigerator.
6. Install the new Frigidaire 297110400 THERMISTER by pressing it into the same hole that the old thermostat was removed from.
7. Secure the new thermostat in place with the screws that were removed earlier.
8. Reconnect the two wires to the new thermostat.
9. Turn the water supply back on to the ice maker.
10. Plug the refrigerator back into the wall outlet.
