DIY Instructions: How to Replace a Samsung DE81-06191A SVC-Flame Spreader Large
Tools Needed:
- Philips screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver
- Wrench
Instructions:
1. Turn off the power supply for your stove. Unplug the appliance or shut off the breaker in your fuse box to ensure the stove won’t turn on while you’re working.
2. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws at the back of the stove’s control panel. Carefully lift up the control panel and set it aside.
3. Look around the edges of the stovetop. You should see screws securing the burners in place. Use the flathead screwdriver to remove these screws.
4. Lift up the burner and heat spreader, being very careful not to bend the metal. Set them aside.
5. Carefully lift out the old SVC-Flame Spreader Large (Samsung DE81-06191A).
6. Take your new SVC-Flame Spreader Large and slide it into the same spot that you lifted the old one from.
7. Place your burner and heat spreader back on top of the new SVC-Flame Spreader Large and secure using the screws that you removed in step 3.
8. Replace the control panel and use the Phillips screwdriver to secure with the screws that were removed in step 2.
9. Turn the power back on to your stove, and you’re done!
