Replacing the DA61-05435A Samsung Refrigerator Ice Maker Shut Off Level Arm
Step 1: Unplug the power cord from your refrigerator.
Step 2: Locate the ice maker in the upper left-hand corner of the freezer compartment.
Step 3: Remove the screws that secure the ice maker to the freezer wall. These screws are usually located on either side of the ice maker.
Step 4: Carefully remove the ice maker from the freezer wall. Make sure that all of the wires remain attached.
Step 5: Locate the shut off level arm that is connected to the ice maker and remove it. This part is usually connected to the side of the ice maker with a screw or a clip.
Step 6: Inspect the shut off level arm for wear and tear, noting any cracks or warping that could be causing the problem.
Step 7: When you’re ready to install the new shut off level arm, attach the new part to the side of the ice maker using the same screw or clip that was used to secure the old part.
Step 8: Replace the ice maker back in the freezer wall and secure with the screws that were removed in Step 3.
Step 9: Plug the power cord back into the refrigerator and test your ice maker to make sure that it’s working properly.
