Replacing the MFZ32863101 LG Dishwasher Pump Gasket
Tools Needed:
- Socket wrench set
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- Replacement MFZ32863101 LG Dishwasher Pump Gasket
Step 1: Shut off the power to the dishwasher. To avoid any potential shock hazards, unplug the power cord from the power outlet.
Step 2: Remove the upper dish rack and all items from the dishwasher.
Step 3: Locate the dishwasher pump. It is located beneath the bottom dish rack.
Step 4: Use a socket wrench to loosen and remove the screws that hold the pump cover in place.
Step 5: Carefully remove the pump cover. Be sure to keep track of the screws and other small parts.
Step 6: Locate and remove the old pump gasket. It should be affixed to the pump with screws.
Step 7: Take the new LG MFZ32863101 pump gasket and place it into the same spot on the pump where the old one was removed.
Step 8: Secure the new gasket with the screws.
Step 9: Reassemble the pump cover and secure it with the screws.
Step 10: Test the dishwasher to make sure the replacement of the pump gasket did not cause any malfunctions.
Step 11: Put all of your dishes back into the dishwasher.
Step 12: Plug the dishwasher back in and turn it on. Your dishwasher is now ready for use.
