Replacing the MDS47123605 LG Washer Door Boot Seal Gasket
1. Prepare Yourself and the Washer. Start by gathering the necessary tools, such as a Phillips head screwdriver and flathead screwdriver. Make sure you have access to a new MDS47123605 door boot seal gasket. Unplug your washer before beginning the repair.
2. Remove Parts of the Washer. Take off the top panel of the washer by removing the screws at the back and the front. Then remove the control board cover at the back of the washer. You should then be able to see the screws that will let you take the control panel out of the washer.
3. Access and Remove the Old Gasket. Once you have removed the control panel, you should be able to access the door boot seal gasket. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the old gasket from the washer.
4. Install the New Gasket. Insert the new gasket into the washer, making sure it is properly aligned. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to secure the gasket in place.
5. Put the Washer Back Together. Replace all the parts of the washer that you previously took off, including the top panel, control board cover, and control panel. Make sure all screws are securely tightened before plugging your washer back in.
Once everything is in place, turn on your washer to test the new gasket. If you followed the instructions correctly, you should now have a functioning washer with a new MDS47123605 door boot seal gasket.
Please keep in mind, these instructions are for general guidance and should always be used in conjunction with the manufacturer's manual, if available.
