Replacing the MDJ63604401 LG Air Filter - DIY Instructions
1. Turn off your air conditioner unit and disconnect the power supply. It’s very important to make sure no power is running to the unit while you are taking out the old filter.
2. Locate the old filter. Depending on your system, it may be located inside the return air vent, the sidewall, or the blower compartment.
3. Remove the old filter. The old filter can usually be easily accessed by pulling it from its slot.
4. Measure the old filter. Take note of the size of the old filter so that you can purchase the correct replacement.
5. Purchase a replacement MDJ63604401 LG air filter. Make sure to double-check that the filter size fits correctly.
6. Insert the new filter into the same spot you took the old one out. Push the filter in firmly until it’s completely seated in the air handler.
7. Replace the air conditioning unit's access panels and turn the power back on.
8. Change the filter regularly. Experts recommend replacing the filter every 1-3 months to maintain optimal airflow and avoid clogging.
