1. Begin by turning off the power supply to the LG washer and unplugging the appliance.
2. Remove the top panel of the washer by locating the four screws located in the back of the appliance and unscrewing them with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
3. Locate the tapping screw at the back of the appliance near the drain pipe.
4. Unscrew the tapping screw with a flat-head screwdriver, being careful not to strip or damage it.
5. Insert a new tapping screw into the designated opening and tighten it with a flat-head screwdriver.
6. Replace the top panel of the washer by securing the four screws with a Phillips-head screwdriver.
7. Turn the power supply for the LG washer back on and plug the appliance in.
