Step 1: Unplug the LG washer from the power outlet and make sure it is turned off.
Step 2: Carefully lay the washer on its back so that you can access the bottom portion of the unit.
Step 3: Find the SHORT SHIPPING BOLT (FAA31690704) located at the bottom rear corner of the unit.
Step 4: Using a socket wrench, loosen the bolt until it can be unscrewed. Once the bolt is removed, set aside the old one.
Step 5: Clean the area around the hole where the SHORT SHIPPING BOLT previously resided.
Step 6: Place the new SHORT SHIPPING BOLT (FAA31690704) into the hole, making sure to line up the threads correctly.
Step 7: Secure the bolt using your socket wrench and tighten until it is firmly in place.
Step 8: To ensure that your washer is ready for use, plug it in and turn it on. If everything works correctly, you have successfully replaced the SHORT SHIPPING BOLT (FAA31690704).
