Step 1: Unplug the Dishwasher
Start by unplugging the LG dishwasher from the wall outlet. This will ensure that no electrical shock occurs while performing the replacement.
Step 2: Remove the Drain Hose Assembly
Next, find the hose assembly located at the bottom of the dishwasher and remove it by loosening the hose clamp. Also, remove the drain hose from any connection to the sink or garbage disposal.
Step 3: Install the New Assembly
Take the new AEM69493807 LG Dishwasher Drain Hose Assembly and connect it to the water supply valve and the dishwasher’s outlet hose. Make sure the ends are connected securely. Also, make sure the hose clamp is tightened properly.
Step 4: Test the Installation
After connecting the new drain hose assembly, turn on the water supply valve and let the dishwasher fill with water. Then, turn the dishwasher on to test the installation. If everything is working properly, reinstall the hose clamp and plug the dishwasher back into the wall outlet.
