Step 1: Unplug the LG ACM74519108 air conditioner unit from its power source.
Step 2: Remove the front panel or door of the unit. Remember to support the front panel or door panel when you are unhooking it from the wall as it can be heavy.
Step 3: Locate the control assembly and disconnect all wires connecting it to the unit.
Step 4: Carefully unscrew the four nuts attaching the control assembly to the wall bracket.
Step 5: Take out the old control assembly.
Step 6: Place the new control assembly in the same position and align it with the wall bracket.
Step 7: Secure the control assembly on the wall bracket with the nuts you unscrewed earlier.
Step 8: Re-connect all wires to their respective terminals.
Step 9: Replace the front panel or door panel.
Step 10: Double check that all components are installed properly.
Step 11: Plug the unit back into its power source.
