1. Turn off the power to your LG dryer before beginning any repair work. You can do this by unplugging the machine from the wall or turning off the circuit breaker.
2. Disconnect the two wire harnesses that are connected to the thermostat. Mark them with a marker or piece of tape so you know which wires go with which color.
3. Unscrew the mounting panel of the old thermostat and pull it out.
4. Install the new 6931EL3001F dryer thermostat, lining up the mounting holes and screws.
5. Reconnect the two wires from the thermostat to their respective places on the harnesses. Make sure to place the appropriate color in the correct spot, as marked.
6. Secure the mounting panel with the existing screws and tighten them up.
7. Turn the power back on and test your new thermostat by running a cycle of the dryer.
8. If everything works as expected, the repair is complete. If not, double-check your wiring and the new thermostat for any issues.
