1. Turn off the power to the dryer. Unplug the dryer from the wall outlet or shut off the circuit breaker for the dryer.
2. Remove the lint filter assembly by pulling it out of the opening in the back of the dryer.
3. Install the replacement 5231EL1003B LG dryer lint filter assembly. Push the filter in until it clicks into place.
4. Reassemble the dryer. Reconnect the power to the dryer either by plugging it in to the wall outlet or turning on the circuit breaker.
5. Test the dryer to ensure proper operation. Run a few test loads through the dryer to make sure it is working properly with the new lint filter assembly.
6. Clean up any mess you may have made during the installation. Dispose of the old lint filter assembly in accordance with local regulations.
