Step 1: Unplug the LG Dishwasher from the power outlet.
Step 2: Take out all the items from inside the dishwasher, including the cutlery holder and other removable pieces.
Step 3: Remove the bottom rack from the dishwasher and locate the diverter pump motor. You may need to remove the lower access panel of your machine to do this.
Step 4: Once the diverter pump motor is visible, use a screwdriver to unscrew the mounting bolts which hold it in place.
Step 5: Disconnect the electrical wiring connected to the diverter pump motor.
Step 6: Carefully lift out the old diverter pump motor and replace it with the new one. Make sure the new motor matches the old one.
Step 7: Reconnect the electrical wires to the new motor and tighten the mounting bolts.
Step 8: Put all the removed parts back in place, making sure that everything is securely mounted.
Step 9: Plug the dishwasher into the power outlet and switch it on.
Step 10: Test the new diverter pump motor to make sure it works correctly, and enjoy your newly-replaced appliance!
