Replacing the GE WR57X33326 Water Valve with Guard

1. First, shut off water and power to the refrigerator. Check all lines for any additional shut off valves and close them. This is to ensure you can work safely and that no water will be leaking out of the valves and lines when you take them apart.

2. Remove the water and ice filters from the refrigerator. You can do this by simply twisting off the end caps. The filters should be replaced if they are more than six months old.

3. Unscrew the water supply line from the refrigerator and remove it.

4. Unscrew the two screws holding on the current water valve and gently remove it.

5. Remove the plastic guard from the bottom of the refrigerator.

6. Carefully insert the new water valve into the hole in the guard and secure it with the appropriate screws.

7. Secure the new water supply line to the new water valve.

8. Turn on the water and power to the refrigerator.

9. Check for any leaks before replacing the filters and reinstalling the guard.

10. Once everything is secure, test the water dispenser.
