DIY Guide: Replacing a GE WR02X11174 Humidity Slide Button

Step 1: Unplug the appliance and make sure it is completely powered off before beginning any replacement.

Step 2: Using the #1 screwdriver, remove the screws at the control panel's top and bottom.

Step 3: Carefully remove the control panel and set it aside in a secure place. Inside the control panel, you should be able to locate the WR02X11174 GE Humidity Slide Button.

Step 4: With the pliers, disconnect the wires that are connected to the old button. Once disconnected, remove the old button from the control panel and discard or recycle it appropriately.

Step 5: Place the new WR02X11174 GE Humidity Slide Button into the control panel. Reconnect the wires disconnected from the old button, and ensure they are firmly secured to the new one.

Step 6: Reinstall the control panel to the appliance and use the #1 screwdriver to secure it back in place.

Step 7: Plug the appliance back in and power it on. Test the new button to make sure it is working properly.
