1. Unplug your refrigerator from the wall or turn off the power at the circuit breaker.
2. Gather necessary tools and supplies, including a screwdriver and the replacement GE WR01X10615 SCR 10-16.
3. Locate the upper front grille of your refrigerator and gently pry it off with a flat head screwdriver to access the inside of the appliance.
4. Locate the old GE WR01X10615 SCR 10-16 and unplug the two wires attached to it.
5. Install the new GE WR01X10615 SCR 10-16 by plugging in the two wires and using the same screws to secure it in place.
6. Replace the upper front grille and make sure it is firmly in place.
7. Restore power to the refrigerator by plugging it back in or turning on the circuit breaker.
8. Check operation of the refrigerator and make sure the new part is functioning correctly.
