1. Unplug the washing machine from the power supply before performing any maintenance.
2. Remove the four screws that attach the washing machine to the brackets using a Phillips screwdriver.
3. Lift the washing machine off the mounting brackets, and set it aside.
4. Remove the existing brackets by unscrewing the four 8 x 1-inch screws attached to the floor.
5. Place the new GE WH02X30977 pedestal brackets in their place.
6. Secure the brackets to the floor by tightening the eight 1-inch screws into place.
7. Reattach the washing machine to the new brackets with the four screws.
8. Restore power to the washing machine.
9. Test the machine's operation by running a laundry load.
