Replacing the WE25M40 GE Rear Bearing Kit
1. Unplug the dryer's power cord from the wall outlet or turn off the circuit breaker before beginning any maintenance.
2. Remove the screws that hold the rear panel in place. Pull the panel away to access the bearing plate.
3. Unplug the motor wiring harness from the control assembly and remove the screws holding the bearing plate.
4. Remove the defective bearing plate and replace it with a new WE25M40 GE Rear Bearing Kit.
5. Align the holes in the bearing plate with the support bracket and reinstall the screws.
6. Plug the motor wiring harness back into the control assembly.
7. Replace the rear panel and secure it with the screws.
8. Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet or turn the circuit breaker on.
