STEP 1: Unplug the dishwasher.
STEP 2: Remove the racks and accessories from the interior of the dishwasher.
STEP 3: Remove the screws on the inside of the dishwasher door that hold the inner most cover panel.
STEP 4: Take off the cover panel and remove the Philips screws to loosen the door cable.
STEP 5: Pull out the old door cable assembly and unwind the spring to prevent damage.
STEP 6: Install the new WD7X14 GE Dishwasher Door Cable Assembly by winding the spring, attaching the cable with the Philips screws, and reattaching the inner most cover panel.
STEP 7: Reinsert the racks and accessories into the dishwasher, and test the part's functionality by opening and closing the dishwasher door several times.
STEP 8: Plug the dishwasher back in and enjoy a properly functioning dishwasher!
