Instructions for Replacing the WD12X10163 GE Dishwasher Detergent and Rinse Aid Dispenser Module
Tools Needed:
-Phillips head screwdriver
-Pliers
-Replacement part (WD12X10163 GE Dishwasher Detergent and Rinse Aid Dispenser Module)
Step 1: Unplug the power cord from the outlet supplying electricity to your dishwasher. This is an important safety precaution to take to avoid electric shock.
Step 2: Open the dishwasher door and locate the detergent and rinse aid dispenser module. It should be located on the inside of the door panel.
Step 3: Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that secure the dispenser module to the door panel.
Step 4: Carefully lift the dispenser module in order to disconnect the wiring harness. Use pliers if needed to disconnect the wires.
Step 5: Remove the old dispenser module and discard it.
Step 6: Insert the replacement dispense module in the same spot where the old one was located and reattach the wiring harness.
Step 7: Secure the replacement module to the door panel with the Phillips head screws you removed in Step 3.
Step 8: Plug the power cord back into the outlet and test the new dispenser module to ensure it is working properly.
