DIY Instructions
1. Safety First: Before beginning, be sure to unplug your appliance from the wall outlet. Consult the manual for additional safety warnings and tips for proper handling.
2. Gather Your Tools: To replace the window pack assembly, you will need a Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, and a pair of needle-nose pliers.
3. Remove the Exterior Panel: Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the exterior panel screws located around the outside of the window assembly. Carefully pull the panel off and set aside.
4. Locate the Window Pack Assembly: Now that the exterior panel has been removed, you will be able to see the window pack assembly. It should be located in the center of the window.
5. Disconnect the Wires: Using the flathead screwdriver, carefully disconnect the four wires that are attached to the window pack assembly.
6. Unscrew and Remove the Window Pack Assembly: Unscrew the two screws that are holding the window pack assembly in place. Carefully pull out the window pack assembly and set aside.
7. Install the New Window Pack Assembly: Make sure that the new window pack assembly is facing the correct way. Then, use the Phillips screwdriver to attach the assembly in place.
8. Reconnect the Wires: Reconnect the four wires that were disconnected earlier, using the needle-nose pliers.
9. Secure the Exterior Panel: Place the exterior panel back into position and use the Phillips screwdriver to secure it in place.
10. Test the Window Pack Assembly: Plug the appliance back in and test the window pack assembly. If all is working correctly, you’ve successfully completed the replacement!
