Step 1: Unplug the Oven – Before beginning any repairs it is always important to unplug the oven from the wall power source.
Step 2: Remove the Cooktop – Begin by removing the cooktop surface unit, which should be held in place with four screws.
Step 3: Locate the Old Element – Once the cooktop has been removed, locate the old element and disconnect the wires leading to it.
Step 4: Install the New Element – Connect the new element’s wires in the same way as the old element and mount the new element into place.
Step 5: Reinstall the Cooktop – Carefully replace the cooktop surface unit, secure the screws back in place and return the knob to the desired spot.
Step 6: Test the Replacement – Finally, plug the oven back in and test the new element to make sure it is working properly.
