Replacing the GE WB20X10048 Thermostat
1. Turn off the power to your furnace. You can do this by flipping the breaker switch located in the fuse box.
2. Remove the cover plate from the old thermostat and carefully set aside.
3. Unscrew the mounting screws that hold the thermostat in place.
4. Carefully remove the thermostat and set it aside.
5. Ensure the wall surface is clean and free of any dirt or debris prior to mounting the new thermostat.
6. Position the new GE WB20X10048 thermostat onto the wall.
7. Secure the unit with the provided mounting screws.
8. Connect the wires to their respective terminals on the back of the unit. Make sure to follow the wiring diagram that came with the unit, as connections may vary depending on your HVAC system.
9. Replace the cover plate.
10. Turn the power back on to the furnace.
11. Set the temperature to your desired settings and you are done!
