Replacing the GE WB02X32438 SCR 10-16PL PNT 2.15S
1. Start by turning off the power - always unplug the appliance or turn off the circuit breaker for safety.
2. Remove the oven control panel - on most models, you will be able to remove the screws from the back of the oven that hold the control panel in place, then slide the panel out.
3. Disconnect the wiring harness - depending on your model, you may need to pull the harnesses out of the way or disconnect them completely. Make sure you remove all wires, clips and connectors.
4. Unscrew and remove the old part - locate the old part and unscrew it. Make sure to keep track of all the screws and any other parts that may have come off with it.
5. Install the new part - follow the instructions on the new part to ensure it is properly installed. Some models may require additional steps, such as reinstalling a bracket or screws.
6. Reassemble the control panel - reconnect the wiring harness and slide the control panel back into place before securely tightening any screws.
7. Restore power to the appliance - once the new part has been installed and the control panel reattached, you can plug the appliance back in or turn on the circuit breaker.
8. Test the oven - test the oven to make sure that the new part is working correctly.
