DIY Instructions on Replacing the GXRTDR GE In-Line Water Filter Kit
1. To begin, shut off the water main and turn off the electrical power to your refrigerator.
2. Disconnect the water line from the back of the refrigerator. If you have a saddle valve, use the line shutoff feature.
3. Gently pull the filter out of its housing.
4. To install the new filter, align its arrow to the water flow direction and push it into the housing until it stops.
5. Secure the clamps on both ends of the filter with a screwdriver.
6. Reconnect the water line to the back of the refrigerator.
7. Open the water main and turn the electrical power to the refrigerator back on.
8. Flush the filter for about two minutes to remove any debris.
9. Run the water from the water dispenser or ice maker, checking for leaks from the connections.
10. You’re done! Enjoy the fresh taste of filtered water.
