Replacing the Thermostat Knob on a Brown Stove 1802A342
1. Unplug the range from the electrical outlet.
2. Turn the power to “off†and remove the knob.
3. Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the slot at the top of the thermostat knob shaft.
4. Push the screwdriver down slightly and turn the knob in either direction until it comes off the shaft.
5. Press the new knob onto the shaft, making sure that the slot in the top of the knob is aligned with the slot in the shaft.
6. Turn the knob in either direction until it is firmly attached to the shaft.
7. Plug the range back in and turn the power back to “onâ€.
8. Test the thermostat by turning the knob to the desired temperature setting.
