This Dishwasher Pump Impeller Kit is a rebuild for the pump in your dishwasher. If your pump is damaged and you aren't getting any water pressure, or the water seal is damaged ... and water is draining outside of the dishwasher, this part may need to be replaced. Remove the lower rack of your dishwasher and take out the spray arm nut by turning it counter-clockwise to access the part. When removing the old gasket, be sure to clean out any left behind residue. This kit includes the drain & wash impeller, pump seal, chopper, spacer, water seal, spring, hold down bolt, and instruction sheet.Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. The Dishwasher Chopper Assembly is located inside the dishwasher pump, and chops up/minces the food particles in the dishwasher to help prevent from clogging the dishwasher pu ...mp. If your drain is clogging with larger pieces of food, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. To access the part, remove the lower dishrack from the appliance and remove the lower spray arm hub. Then remove the screws holding the top of the pump on, and the cover. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience.
