Step-by-Step Instructions for Replacing the 00657917 Bosch Dryer Drum Drive Belt
1. Unplug your dryer from the wall before beginning any repairs.
2. Open the dryer door and remove the lint trap. This will provide access to the drum.
3. Unscrew the screws holding the front panel of the dryer to the frame and slide the panel off.
4. Locate the tensioner pulley at the bottom right-hand corner of the dryer and loosen the tensioner. This will release the belt.
5. Slide the old belt off of the motor pulley and drum.
6. Place the new belt around the motor pulley first, then the drum. Make sure to align the grooves on the belt with the grooves on the pulleys.
7. Pull the belt tight and re-engage the tensioner pulley.
8. Reinstall the front panel and lint trap.
9. Restore power to the dryer and check to make sure the drum rotates smoothly.
