DIY Step-by-Step Guide for Replacing the 00494772 Bosch Dishwasher Door Gasket
Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, Phillips head screwdriver, new 00494772 Bosch Dishwasher Door Gasket
Step 1: Unplug the dishwasher from the power source. It is important to make sure the dishwasher is completely unplugged before you attempt to replace the gasket.
Step 2: Take off the lower adjustable toe kick plate by pressing it inwards and using a flathead screwdriver to gently pry it off.
Step 3: Open the dishwasher door, then locate the four screws along the base of the inner panel trim. Unscrew those screws using a Phillips head screwdriver, and then remove the inner panel trim.
Step 4: Now you can access the door gasket. Take off the old gasket and discard it.
Step 5: Place the new 00494772 Bosch Dishwasher Door Gasket in the same position as the old one. Make sure it is installed properly, with no creases or gaps.
Step 6: Replace the screws along the base of the inner panel trim. Tighten them securely.
Step 7: Finally, replace the lower adjustable toe kick plate and plug the dishwasher back into the power source.
