Replacing the Avanti Products Z-60120913 Avanti Oven Control Thermostat
If your Avanti oven has stopped heating up, it could be time to replace the oven control thermostat. With the right tools and a little know-how, you can replace the oven control thermostat yourself with these easy DIY instructions.
Tools Needed:
• Small flathead screwdriver
• Needle-nose pliers
• Phillips-head screwdriver
Instructions:
1. Unplug the oven before beginning the replacement process.
2. Locate the oven control thermostat behind the control panel. Use a small flathead screwdriver to loosen the screws on the sides of the panel and remove the panel to access the thermometer.
3. Disconnect the wiring from the old thermostat. Use needle-nose pliers to gently pull out the wires that attach the thermostat to the power source.
4. Remove the mounting screws that secure the old thermostat in place, using a Phillips-head screwdriver.
5. Install the new thermostat by inserting the mounting screws through the new part and into the mounting holes.
6. Connect the wiring to the new thermostat. Make sure the wiring is directed in the same manner as the old thermometer and is properly secured in the grooves.
7. Secure the panel back on the oven.
8. Turn on the power and test the oven temperature.
