Replacing the Lint Screen Filter in a Whirlpool Dryer (WPW10717210)
Before attempting this repair, make sure to unplug the dryer and wear protective gloves to protect your hands.
Materials Needed:
• Phillips head screwdriver
• New lint filter (WPW10717210)
Instructions:
1. On the top of the dryer, remove the screws on the lint filter cover plate with a Phillips head screwdriver.
2. Gently pull the old lint filter out of the opening.
3. Insert the new lint filter (WPW10717210) into the opening, making sure that it is properly aligned.
4. Replace the lint filter cover plate and secure the screws back in place.
5. Test the dryer to ensure the filter is working properly.
