The Dryer Heating Element is a replacement part for the heating element coils that dry your clothes. If your dryer is not heating as expected, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Step 1: First, switch off the power by unplugging the Whirlpool dryer from the wall socket or turning off the circuit breaker.
Step 2: Open the dryer and check whether the front bulkhead is hot. If there is no heat, the heating element WP4391960 needs to be replaced.
Step 3: Take out all the internal components of the dryer, such as the drum, lint filter, and control panel, in order to gain access to the heating element.
Step 4: Remove the wires connected to the old element and unscrew the mounting screws.
Step 5: Install the new heating element WP4391960 in place, and make sure that it is securely fastened with the mounting screws.
Step 6: Reconnect the wires to the element, and be careful not to cross any wires.
Step 7: Place all the internal components back into the dryer and close the dryer door.
Step 8: Plug the dryer back into the wall socket or turn on the circuit breaker and turn on the dryer.
Step 9: Check that the heating element is functioning correctly and the dryer is heating up properly.
