1. Begin by gathering the necessary tools for the job, such as an Allen wrench, flat-head screwdriver, and a replacement Whirlpool W11429587 catch.
2. Inspect the refrigerator door for any screws or fasteners around the perimeter and remove them using the appropriate tool.
3. Once all the screws are loose, carefully lift off the outer panel of the refrigerator door and set it aside.
4. Look for the catch that holds the door closed and use an Allen wrench to loosen the screws that hold it in place.
5. Carefully lift out the old catch with a pair of needle-nose pliers.
