W10780045 Whirlpool Suspension Rod
The Top Load Washer Suspension Rod Kit helps to dampen the movement of the washer tub during unbalanced cycles. This kit includes (4) suspension rods, (4) bushings, (4) suspension balls and installation instructions. Replacing these parts will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. 1. To begin, disconnect the power to your dishwasher and shut off the water supply before attempting to replace the Whirlpool W10780045 Suspension Kit.
2. Place a towel beneath the dishwasher to catch any remaining water in the bottom of the dishwasher and prepare to remove the dishwasher from its location.
3. To remove the dishwasher from its location, tilt it slightly forward and have an assistant help hold the dishwasher in place.
4. Once the dishwasher is tilted slightly forward, carefully disconnect the water supply hose, drain hose, and electrical connections from the dishwasher.
5. Once all connections are disconnected, carefully lift the dishwasher and place it on a flat surface such as a table or countertop.
6. To begin replacing the Whirlpool W10780045 Suspension Kit, locate the four upper corners of the dishwasher’s side panels and carefully pry them away from the dishwasher’s frame.
7. Once the side panels are removed, locate the four upper suspension rods and carefully remove them from the dishwasher.
8. Carefully slide the four replacement suspension rods into place and secure them with the included screws.
9. Replace the side panels and re-attach the water supply hose, drain hose, and electrical connections.
10. Carefully return the dishwasher to its original location and reconnect the water supply.
11. Finally, restore power to the dishwasher and verify that the Whirlpool W10780045 Suspension Kit replacement has been successful.
