In order to access the part, open the freezer door and re ...move the ice bucket from the freezer by lifting it up and pulling it out. Remove the four screws from the panel below the ice bucket and release the wire harness to remove the assembly out of the freezer. Disconnect the wires from the solenoid and remove the two screws holding the old solenoid into the housing. This kit includes the solenoid, the arm assembly, and two mounting screws. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
