Step 1: Unplug the LG dryer from the wall socket and disconnect the power cord.
Step 2: Open the door of the LG dryer and remove the screws located on each side of the door. Lift the top of the dryer back slightly and remove the upper panel of the dryer cabinet.
Step 3: Disconnect the door switch (6601EL3001A) assembly from the main control board of the dryer by removing the two wires connecting to it.
Step 4: Detach the screws that hold the switch to the door, then carefully remove the switch from the door.
Step 5: Install the replacement door switch, reconnecting the two wires to the main control board. Securely fasten the switch to the door with the screws.
Step 6: Close the top panel of the dryer cabinet and secure it in place with the screws.
Step 7: Plug the power cord into the wall socket and test the new door switch.
