Replacing the LH680534 Carrier Furnace Flame Sensor
Safety Note: Ensure that you have shut off all power supply to the furnace before beginning any repair.
Tools Needed:
-Phillips head screwdriver
-Flat head screwdriver
-Flame sensor replacement (LH680534)
Instructions:
1. Locate the flame sensor near the burner assembly. It will be located near the pilot light and main burners.
2. Use a flathead screwdriver to unscrew and detach the flame sensor from its mount.
3. Disconnect the wire lead of the flame sensor from the main control board.
4. Take the new flame sensor (LH680534), and connect the wire lead to the main control board.
5. Use the Phillips head screwdriver to attach the new flame sensor to its mounting bracket.
6. Test the new flame sensor to make sure it is working properly.
7. Turn on the power supply to the furnace and check for proper operation.
8. If the furnace is not operating properly, contact a qualified technician to service the unit.
