Replacing the GE WR78X33845 REFRIG-FRESH FOOD DOOR SS Step by Step DIY Instructions
Step 1: Disconnect power to the refrigerator. Unplug the refrigerator power cord from the wall outlet or switch off the circuit breaker.
Step 2: Remove the top and bottom doors. The top door is lighter and should be removed first. To do this, remove the screws which attach the door to the cabinet and lift it off. Then repeat for the bottom door.
Step 3: Remove the plastic trim that covers the front of the refrigerator. To do this, use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws that hold the trim in place.
Step 4: Carefully pull the plastic trim away from the refrigerator and set it aside.
Step 5: Unscrew the screws that secure the food door in place. You should be able to access these screws from the inside of the refrigerator.
Step 6: Carefully lift the food door off the refrigerator and set it aside.
Step 7: Place the new food door into position and secure it in place with the screws.
Step 8: Replace the plastic trim and secure it with the screws.
Step 9: Replace the top and bottom doors and secure them with the screws.
Step 10: Plug in the refrigerator and turn on the circuit breaker. Your refrigerator is now ready for use.
