Step 1: Unplug the Washing Machine and Turn Off the Water
Step 2: Place a towel or rag on the floor in front of the washing machine to catch any water that may come out during the repair process.
Step 3: Locate the pressure switch. It is typically located at the bottom of the back panel of the machine, near the water hoses.
Step 4: Remove the two screws that are holding the lid or cover of the pressure switch in place.
Step 5: Carefully remove the old pressure switch and disconnect the wiring by pulling off the connectors. Make sure to note the orientation of the wiring so that you can properly connect the new pressure switch.
Step 6: Take your new GE Pressure Switch WH12X10301 and connect the wiring to it in the same orientation as the old switch.
Step 7: Place the new pressure switch in the opening where the old switch was located.
Step 8: Secure the new pressure switch with the screws that were removed in Step 4.
Step 9: Reconnect the water hoses and plug the washing machine back in.
Step 10: Test your repair by running a load of laundry in the washing machine and verifying that the pressure switch operates correctly.
