Step-by-Step Instructions on Replacing the GE WE1M570 Strike Plate with Strike Hole

1. Start by turning off power to the door. Typically, you’ll find the breaker box in the basement or utility room.

2. Remove the screws that secure the current strike plate to the doorjamb by using a screwdriver.

3. Unscrew the hinges on the door, and gently move it away from the frame so you can access the strike plate.
