Step 1: Unplug the Dishwasher. Before beginning any repair, unplug your dishwasher from the power source.
Step 2: Open the Dishwasher Door and Pull Out the Upper Rack. You will need to open your dishwasher door and gently pull out the upper rack. Place it to the side in a safe place so that the pieces won't fall apart while you are working on it.
Step 3: Remove the Upper Rack Wheels. Using a screwdriver or an Allen key, remove the screws holding the wheels on the rack.
Step 4: Remove the Old Upper Rack Assembly. Use a flathead screwdriver to loosen the mounting brackets and remove the old upper rack assembly. Make sure to hold on to the screws, as you will need them when installing the new rack assembly.
Step 5: Install the New Upper Rack Assembly. Place the new upper rack assembly in place and use the same screws to securely attach it to the dishwasher.
Step 6: Replace the Wheels. Place the wheels back onto the upper rack and secure them with the screws.
Step 7: Test the New Upper Rack Assembly. Test the upper rack by pulling it out and pushing it back several times to ensure it is securely in place.
Step 8: Plug the Dishwasher Back In and Close the Door. Once you are finished, plug the dishwasher back in and close the door. Your new upper rack assembly is now installed and ready to use.
