Replacing the WB08X10057 GE Microwave Halogen Lamp 50W
DIY Instructions
1. Unplug your GE microwave from the power source.
2. Remove the screws around the grille's edge at the top of the microwave oven. Lift the grille and remove it from the appliance.
3. Detach the metal shield that covers the halogen light bulb. Make sure the metal shield is off, and then switch it off.
4. Gently twist the halogen lamp counterclockwise until it's loose, and then pull it straight out.
5. Insert the new halogen lamp into the socket, making sure to match the pattern of pins on the bulb with the pattern on the socket. Twist the bulb clockwise to secure it in place.
6. Reattach the metal shield and grille to the microwave, starting with the shield and then screwing in the grille.
7. Plug in your GE microwave and test the halogen lamp by turning the light on.
