To access the part, you'll go in through the lint screen to remove the front panel. If you have the type of dryer with two front panels, you'll use a putty knife to pop off the smaller panel and a screwdriver to loosen the screws (do not remove completely - just loosen them enough to get the panel off) on the larger panel. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience.
