This Direct Drive Washer Drain Pump removes water from the appliance during the drain portion of the cleaning cycle. If the washer will fill and drain the water from the tub, but doesn't agitate or spin properly, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. To replace the part, remove the washer console and disconnect the lid switch to access the old part. Remove the body from the frame of the washer by tilting at a 45-degree angle and lifting it off. Place towels down to catch any water from the hoses when removed. The new pump should slide on easily –don't force it on. If you feel resistance when sliding the pump onto the shaft, you may need to remove any shaft residue left from the previous pump. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. The SxS Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve allows water to enter the refrigerator’s water dispenser and ice maker. The package includes the new inlet water valve, instructions, ...¼" tubing and a plastic ¼" coupler. If water isn't entering the ice maker and dispenser in your appliance, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. The new part's wire connections are on the back of the unit and the valve includes a "push to lock" fitting that doesn't require a nut to attach the tubing. You'll have to remove the old style compression fittings around the water line and trim, then push the water line directly into the valve where it will lock into place.
