If your pump is damaged and you aren't getting any water pressure, or the water seal is damaged ... and water is draining outside of the dishwasher, this part may need to be replaced. Remove the lower rack of your dishwasher and take out the spray arm nut by turning it counter-clockwise to access the part. When removing the old gasket, be sure to clean out any left behind residue.
