DIY: How to Replace American Vulkan Lokring L13001521 Liquid Charging Standpipe
1. Preparing your workspace. First, make sure that you have enough space to work and that you have the right tools for the job. Place a tarp over your workspace in case of spills. Put on safety glasses and gloves.
2. Unscrew stem nut. Using an adjustable wrench, unscrew the stem nut from the top of the standpipe.
3. Remove old charge pipe. Once the nut is removed, use a flathead screwdriver to remove the old charge pipe.
4. Install new charge pipe. Slide the new charge pipe into the hole where the old one was removed. Secure the pipe into place with the stem nut.
5. Tighten stem nut. Use an adjustable wrench to securely tighten the stem nut. Make sure that it’s tight but not overly so.
6. Switch on power. Finally, switch the power back on and check that the new standpipe is charging correctly.
7. Clean up. Once everything is working correctly, clean up any mess and safely store your tools.
